OBO Foundry [1] Wiki pages for the Open Biomedical Ontologies, which reviews ontologies. Excellent set of general resources and examples concerning ontology design for use by a community of researchers.

Springer LaTeX equation search [2] Apropos the discussion of searching for equations---apparently Springer has developed a tool for this. This is commercial, not open source; but it would probably be worth pursuing some kind of relationship with Springer once we get far enough along. Perhaps grant funding could pay for mining their article database and organizing or publishing the results.

GrOWL [4]. Ontology editing; dynamic ontology visualization. Development seems to have stalled.

Intrepid Guide to Ontologies [5]. Overview of nature and motivation for creating ontologies.

Metadata Map [6] Poster, pamphlet, with poster-sized glossary, all in PDF format. visual representation of the universe of metadata standards, organized by function, community, purpose, domain. 120 metadata standards are listed.
